100% acid free 18 mil cotton/polyester canvas with a matte surface finish. It has tight even weaves and is resistant to water and surface cracking. It is used primarily for brilliant, well-saturated fine art and photographic images.

Canvas Unstretched. The greatest advantage of canvas is giving your canvas print the look and feel of the original masterpiece. Canvas print gives an ordinary picture brilliant, well-saturated fine art.

Mounted Canvas. Ready to frame canvas is mounted on rigid .188" gator board to produce a print that will not sag or stretch, and is ready to be put into a frame. Gator board has a foam center of Styrofoam polystyrene with a Luxcell veneer. The veneer is a multilayered, resin-impregnated paper surface. Gator Board is a much harder backing than foam core, is much more durable and has little tendency to warp. If you are planning to hang posters on the wall unframed, or have them on display, unframed, for a long period of time, we recommend Gator board. The edges of the board are not finished, so framing is recommended for a professional look. 1/2" gator board is available upon request.
